How to Make Alcohol in Graveyard Keeper 2

Updated 2026-09-25 · Searched as “graveyard keeper 2 alcohol”

Short answer

Alcohol is made at the Distillation Cube once you research Reanimation Liquid (30 red, 40 green, 50 blue), which is gated behind 20 reputation with Gunter. One batch takes 1 Wine, 2 Clay Urns and 20 Fuel and makes 4 Alcohol at mastery 3, or 7 with the Cube distillations bonus.

The technology you need

The Alcohol recipe is unlocked by the Reanimation Liquid technology, which costs 30 red, 40 green and 50 blue tech points.

It follows Battle Potions II in the tree and also needs 20 reputation with Gunter, tied to his Necronomicon quest.

That is why many players go looking for alcohol long before it is available — the gate is a character, not just points.

The recipe

At the Distillation Cube, one normal batch uses 1 Wine, 2 Clay Urns and 20 Fuel and produces 4 Alcohol.

The recipe needs mastery 3. With Cube distillations active, the batch rises to 7 Alcohol.

Bronze, silver or gold wine all work as the wine input.

Gathering the inputs

Clay Urns come from the stone and pottery recipes, so the pottery unlock from the early tech tree pays off here.

Fuel is the same Fuel used by kilns and furnaces: Firewood through the Firewood Shed. Our kiln fuel guide covers it.

Wine is its own production chain; plan it before you commit to large alcohol runs.

Vegetable plots, outdoor workstations and a red-roofed home surround the keeper's garden.

What alcohol is used for

Alcohol is an ingredient for Dynamite and for zombie consumables such as Solution for Zombies and Injection for Zombies.

Fextralife lists it in Reanimation Liquid (Clay, Alcohol and Salt), the liquid every new zombie needs.

Surplus can be sold to the Apothecary.

The Alcohol Baron achievement

The Alcohol Baron achievement asks you to produce 100 bottles of alcohol.

At 4 per batch that is 25 batches, or 15 with the Cube distillations bonus, so unlock the bonus before grinding it.
