Graveyard Keeper 2 Victory Banner

Updated 2026-09-25 · Searched as “graveyard keeper 2 victory banner”

Short answer

Victory Banners only come from three battles, one each: Eastern Districts Purge, Central Districts Purge: Part II and Break Through to the Bathhouse Basement. Their one use is the Expand Military Building Area project, which costs 1 banner. No trader buys them, so do not expect to sell spares.

Armed units fight around wooden barricades and medieval houses, with health bars above them.

The three battles that award one

Eastern Districts Purge: 2 squads, defense power 20, fought on Sloth day. Rewards 1 Victory Banner, 6 Zombie goo and 4 Town Gratitude.

Central Districts Purge: Part II: 3 squads, defense power 56, Sloth day. Rewards 1 Victory Banner, 6 Zombie goo and 4 Town Gratitude.

Break Through to the Bathhouse Basement: 3 squads, defense power 88. Rewards 3 Keys for Looters, 1 Victory Banner, 4 Zombie goo and 1 Defender's Emblem.

What the banner is for

The Victory Banner has a single use: the Expand Military Building Area project needs 1.

No trader buys it, so it has no sale value.

Victory Banner vs Defender's Emblem

The Defender's Emblem is the other trophy item. It unlocks squad slots, up to 4 in total, and each squad holds up to 4 zombies.

Emblems come from Break Through to the Port, Eastern Districts: Active Scouting, Central Districts Purge: Part I and the Bathhouse Basement battle.

It is also different from the Combat Banner you plant during a fight to command troops — archers and pikemen will not move without it.

Getting enough defense power

Defense power decides whether a battle can start at all.

It adds up barricades and archer towers built at the Barracks (Barricade I gives +2, up to +6 for Barricade III), your squads' armed zombies and any hired mercenaries (8, 16 or 24).

Zombies only count as fighters with armour plus a pike or a bow — our steel guide covers the higher-tier gear.

How battles are won

Most battles are won by capturing every enemy flag and still holding all of them when the waves end.

A few — Market Square Purge, Operation POTATO: Part II, the Final Battle and the Sewer Arena — ask you to hold your base until the waves finish instead.

Most city battles are only fought on Sloth day, so plan your week around it.
