What is Graveyard Keeper 2?
Graveyard Keeper 2 is Lazy Bear Games' sequel to the 2018 cult hit, published by tinyBuild. It is a crafting and management RPG where you play the newly appointed Grand Inquisitor, running a medieval graveyard as a business while a zombie apocalypse eats the kingdom.
The sequel goes far beyond the original's small village: a world rebuilt in 3D, a new story set eight years later, a full Town to reclaim district by district, conveyor-belt factories staffed by zombie labour, and a combat layer where you craft gear, raise barricades and towers, and lead undead squads into weekly street battles.

Does Graveyard Keeper 2 have multiplayer or co-op?
No. The Steam feature list contains Single-player, Steam Achievements, controller support and Steam Cloud, with no online or local co-op entry, and the PlayStation Store listing states 1 player, offline play.
Are there any redemption codes?
No. This is a premium single-player game with no code system, no console commands and no developer menu. Pre-order bonuses are granted automatically by the platform you bought on.
Does my demo progress carry over?
Yes, on the same platform. The developers put it plainly: your demo save file will carry over to the main game when it launches on September 22.
Do I need to play the first game?
No. The story is set eight years later and was written to work for players starting with the sequel, though returning characters and callbacks are there for fans of the original.

22 September 2026 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The PlayStation listing unlocks at 05:00 PM UTC.
How much does it cost?
$24.99, with a 20% pre-order discount bringing it to $19.99. PlayStation Plus members were offered a further discount on the PS Store.
How long is the demo, and what does it include?
Around 3–4 hours, from your first steps to the introduction of The Town. It covers crafting, scavenging, grave digging and decorating, and a first taste of leading an army.
Is the game in Early Access?
No. The Steam page carries no Early Access label and the game sells at full price. Only the free demo is playable before launch.
How do zombie workers work?
You receive two from the Plague Doctor beneath your house, then build a Zombie Supplier Station. A zombie with 0 Work Mastery does nothing, so equip it with a tool first — an early axe grants +2 Mastery. More zombies need the Reanimation perk from the Anatomy and Alchemy branch.
How does combat work?
Town battles are checkpoint-capture fights on the city streets, available on one fixed day each week, with the sewers open the rest of the time. You prepare with barricades and towers, position zombie squads by their flags, and can fight alongside them with a sword or bow.
Did the developers use generative AI?
Lazy Bear's co-founder and CTO denied it publicly, saying the studio is not using AI in Graveyard Keeper 2 and that around eight artists handle the art. As of 20 September 2026, the Steam page shows no AI content disclosure.
Are there mods?
There is no Steam Workshop support. Mods are distributed through Nexus Mods, which opened a Graveyard Keeper 2 page at launch; the series' tooling is BepInEx-based, as it was for the first game.
